    Re: Getting data in excel

    Hi,

    Thanks for your prompt reply.
Its right, but i have not to assign the range to countif. I need to solve the same that if there is more data and there are two times a merge criterion, and then i need the same, I need some advance function that can automatically search the range for my criterion and then give me the result.

    Hope u understand my query.

    Hi SC,

Thanks for your reply and the formula is working.
But there is a query within it. It couldn't take the data for second time and there is no result for that. Means it only count the desired nos only for ones, but when the field repeat itself after wards in range it counts only for top data only. For Ex. If i count for "Central" i.e in range B3:B8 and it revised itself in B50:B59, it counts "1" only for the simultaneous range of B3:B8 only not including others if contains.

Pls also let me know, in formulae what is the use of "?*" which u use here.

    Hope to hear u soon.

    Thanks
    Ansh

    Re: Getting data in excel

    Well.. please try this then
All the fields should update automatically after you input new data.

    Hope this fulfills your requirement!
