Remove the automatic link from Excel received from someone

Hi Buddies,

Would you please help to advise how can I remove the automatic link from Excel received from someone, the image attached is the Error message appear every time when I open file.

File - option - advance-scroll down to
"When calculating this workbook"
uncheck - update links
be sure that the "save external link values is checked"

Actually the message you are seeing is not an error message. it is an option for you to update or not the links from that file. you can ignore links it.

Thank you for your advise, I am using Mac version MS Office 2011, I think you mean I need to uncheck the "Save external link values"?

But in this case, means this is not only affected this workbook and also affect other workbook with link I needed?

This is not I want exactly, can you advise the way only remove the link for the workbook?

oopss don't now mac,
but above i said be sure that the "save external link values" is checked
and

uncheck - update links, **this one is in windows don't now in mac.
