Calculating travel time for set destinations

I would like to calculate arrival times at set destinations from the departure time from a set start location.

So column A would contain the destination column B the sheduled departure time and column C is the sheduled arrival time and where the calculation would need to be.

Each differet destination has a set travel time e.g Paris would need to be column B + 2 hours, Frankfurt +3, NewYork +8 and so on.

    Thanks Andy

    times.xls

You just need to add the travel time to the departure time, and format the results the way you want to see them.

Thanks Marc, but what I need to happen would be NewYork or another destination typed into A the departure time from here in B then C showing just the arrival time.

The actual travel time between destinations is already known and dosen't need to be shown on the sheet.

I'm thinking the formula would be more complex than =cell+cell as it needs to be dependant on the destination appearing in column A.

For the travel time to be "already known" then it has to be listed somewhere in the workbook. You can hide that column if you want, or store the information somewhere else in the workbook, but it has to be somewhere.

The formula to figure out arrival times is indeed as simple as that: Start time plus travel time.

The way that I have it set up in the spreadsheet, all of the potential destinations would be listed explicitly. If you want the user to choose from a drop-down, or type something in, you can do that and then use VLOOKUP() to find the travel time from a list.
