Hello Friends!)
I wanted to ask your opinion.
I have a few models in different Excel workbooks. Each of them is rather large – over 50 mbs on average. Some of these models need to be recalculated only once and the others need to be cycled through using macros – to collect the results. I need to have a Master workbook which would do the analysis on the results of the calculation of the different models. I have a problem with this – I am working with Excel 2003 – it works great when calculating the individual workbooks. But it has a limitation on the number of the tabs. I was wondering if you think it might be possible to create the Master Workbook in Excel 2010 and link the EXCEL 2003 Workbooks containing results of the different models – each to the tab of the Master Excel 2010 workbook – there will be more than 256 tabs. The results would need to be fed into the Master workbook only once for the final round of the calculations to be performed. Actually I will need to feed these results into the yet another workbook with 4 times the number of the tabs (but that can only be possible if the last step is possible).
I will be happy to hear what you think!)
