    Lightbulb Comparing multiple cells

Sales Order Line Location Part Description
    538 1 A Screw 1/2
    538 1 P Screw 1/2
    6802 1 A screwdriver
    6802 1 P screwdriver
    50650 9 A Screw 3/4
    50650 10 P Screw 3/4
    50861 1 A Hammer
    51412 1 P Hammer
    51445 1 A nail

    Re: Comparing multiple cells

    Column A (sales order) – 538 – 538 -6802 – 6802 – 50650 – 50650 – 50861 – 51412 – 51445 – 51445 Column B (Line) 1 – 1 -1 -1 -9 -10 -1 -1 – 1 -1
    Column C (Location) – A – P – A – P – A – P –A – P
    Column D (Part) Screw ½ - Screw ½ - screwdriver – screwdriver - Screw ¾ - Screw ¾ - Hammer – Hammer – nail – nail
    Results
Line 2 and line 3 have the same information but with a different location P and A so excel leave line 3 (P location) and delete line 2 that has A location on it

    Re: Comparing multiple cells

To ensure we find the right solution here, can you attach a working spreadsheet sample with you before and after? This will make clarification much easier.

    Re: Comparing multiple cells

Put this in I2 of the before sheet and copy down...

    =IF(COUNTIF($E$2:$E$12,E2)=1,"Keep",IF(AND(D2<>D3,E2&F2<>E3&F3),"Keep","No"))

Does this get you the results you seek?

If so, you could filter on column I for "No" and delete those cells or this could be automated.
