Excel 2007 : Formatting problems upon converting to text

Hello,
I am dealing with a 21k line spreadsheet for our inventory. Everything looks great until I convert it to text to save as a tab delimited text document.
When I re-open it several cells have moved and the data is a big mess. I have attached the first 17 rows as an example. I am assuming that there is some sort of hidden symbol messing things up?
