I have a due date and completed date column, I want the completed date to be highlighted in Green if the dates match and RED if they do not match.
Without having to do each cell.
Thank You

Conditional formatting:
Create a rule for turning cells green if they are "equal to" each other,
and a second rule for turning cells red if they are "not equal to" each other.
That would mean I would have to apply this rule to each cell one at a time for different dates entered. That is what I am trying to avoid.
Once you apply the rule (make sure it is written like A1 and not $A$1), select the cell you applied it to, copy, highlight the rest of the cells, right-click>paste special>formats.
Apply conditional formatting to the whole column by clicking on the letter at the top of the column.
Edit: or copy down like BenMiller said.
Edit2: for clarity.

Solved.. thx for your help.. under Conditional formatting:New Rule I selected: use a formula to determine which cells to format.
formula: =E<>G1 forma to RED. I also had changed my text in that column GREEN, so I only had to create one rule.
