I'm having trouble resizing a chart within an excel document, so I hope somebody can help!

It seems I can't change the dimensions of my chart in the way I want. So, let's say I want my 'square' chart to be a rectangle (wider sideways than high) to save space. Every time I try to resize the box, it constrains the dimensions of the chart so that there's about a quarter of the page as white space either side - looks pretty gash!

Just to clarify what I have tried:

- Resizing the outer container box
- Resizing the box within the container

The latter doesn't resize anything, it just alters the position in a very unhelpful way
