Help: Stop excel from converting html into web page within excel

Hi, I'm currently working with excel 2007 and I'm writing html codes that I need to upload to a server. When I paste my html code into the cell, it automatically turns it into a web page within that cell and surrounding cells. How do I prevent this from happenning? Thanks for your help.
