Scatter Plots - how can I join up the points

    Hi all,

I have a macro button plotting points (usually 10-20 at one time) in a scatter. The macro labels the points with text and colours data from the same family with a coloured symbols. However is there a way of joining up the scatter points of data from the same family with lines, thus linking various points together, sort of producing a curve of data points?? I might then, for example, end up with four or five lines linking sets of data points together and make them easier to associate to one and another.

Ps I'm not looking to produce a line of best fit.

    Thanks in advance

    T

I'm not sure exactly how your macro is plotting the points. If the macro is grouping associated points into appropriate data series, then it should be as easy as formatting each data series to have a line connecting the points (on my old version of excel, this is done if the format data series dialog).

If the macro is plotting each data point as its own data series or plotting all of the points into one data series, I would suggest modifying the macro so it plots associated data points into data series.
