    Question Normal.DOT

I know how to transfer autocorrect codes from word on one computer to another using the normal.dot method but the codes do not transfer into excel. Is there a special way to either transfer them from excel 2000 on windows 2000 to excel 2010 on windows 7 or from word to excel on the same computer that was originally taken from another computer? That may have been a really confusing question so please respond with a question if you need more info to help me.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

Here's a solution posted by Dave Peterson at https://groups.google.com/group/micr...8f82a6ba?hl=en

I like to do it this way.

    Old pc.
    Open excel.
Make a minor change to the autocorrection list.
    close excel.
search for *.acl and copy the one with the latest date.

    New pc.
    Open excel.
Make a minor change to the autocorrection list.
    close excel.
    search for *.acl.
Make note of the path/filename for that latest version of *.acl.

Put the old pc's *.acl in that folder under that name.

Then back to both pc's and clean up that minor change.
    Hope that helps,
