Total number of entries

Hello,
I have just signed up and this is my very first post. I am fairly limited with my excel knowledge but can generally get by.
I am working on a spreadsheet for my fishing club and have managed to get it nearly how i want it.
We use a measure and release system for fish in the summer season so as to keep the harm to the fish to a minimum. The measure gets an equivalent weight (according to our tables) and totalled up into pounds and ounces.
I have created a tab for each member and has the following Columns:
A. Type of Fish, B. Length (cm) C. Equivalent Weight (lots of hidden columns for monitoring entries in B)
then my own attempt of calculating total ounces to "pounds and ounces".
I also have a front summary sheet with links to everyone's tab.
I would like to be able to be able to show how many fish were caught but can't figure out how to do it without excel calculating the entry in the cell instead of the number of entries?
I would also like to make a cumulative total per person as the annual winner is based on overall weight?

Hi Neil and welcome to the forum.

As you are in Excel 2003, looks that you need SUMPRODUCT function for this.

So, pls, upload a sample workbook, to work on it.
