Conditional Formatting not showing on another users computer

Does anyone know why the condtional formatting that I wrote and shows in my spreadsheet is not showing up when I email it to co-worker. He has the same version of Excel 2010 that I do and it has the same xlsm extention on his version. It has the second condition I wrote but not the first

    =C3=VLOOKUP(B3,'Daily Report Template'!$A$4:$AY$1863,2,0)

So, are you saying that you email the workbook to your colleague and, while the CF has an effect on your computer, it doesn't on your colleague's?

S/he is using the same data, the same sheets in the workbook, etc?

Are B3 and C3 formatted the same way on each computer?

To TM an Cutter..Yes,I am just sending a copy of the file to him via email..No changes or differences..but for some reason when he opens up the file it has one of the conditional formatting rules but not the other..In fact when I tried to get him to just recreate the rule on his PC it came back with the error " Can not use references to other worksheets or workbooks for condtional formatting criteria". But yet it does work on my workbook on my computer..

    thanks,
    Bill

Referring to other sheets in CF is a new feature in 2010 version. Does your friend have more than one version installed? Possible that the file is being opened in earlier version?

As an alternative, you could define a named range referring to the range on the other sheet. That should work in any version of Excel.
