mround fuction not working

Hi All,

I am having a problem using the mround function. I would like to round a given number to the nearest multiple of 5 using the formula below:

=MROUND(B8,5)

When i do this, I get the following error message:

#NAME?

I have tried this formula on a collegues computer using the same workbook and it works correctly.

Is there a reason why this isn't working on my computer?

PS. using excel 2003 sp2

MROUND is part of the Analysis ToolPak pre XL2007 - you must activate this Add-In via Tools -> Add-Ins

Non ATP version would be:

=ROUND(B8/5,0)*5

Hi,

I've got a vexing situation when using the mround function. I am utilizing the following formula:

=mround(average(g$2:g$4),0.05)

and receiving "#num" error messages. After trouble-shooting extensively, it appears that the formula works when the result is a positive number; it brings up the "#num" error message when the result is a negative number.

This seems to me to be retarded. How is it that Excel cannot deal with negative numbers? Is my version buggy, or does someone know a fix within the syntax of the formula? All help will be mucho appreciado.
