    Questions on Excel - creating headers of three rows and static pattern formatting

    Hi,

    Can anybody help on those issues addressed in the attached excel.

    I have prepared a simple form in Excel but I want to keep the formatting when pasting data from other sheets and not have to redraw the boundaries, re apply the patten to and so on. Also the same when inserting and deleting rows.

    Regards,

    Nicolas.

    hi Nicolas, welcome to the forum. by repeating the header, u mean to show it in every page if it exceeds 1 page? Go to Page Layout -> Sheet Options -> Print Area: Select the whole row 1:3.

    to make alternate rows grey, use conditional formatting & place this formula:
    =MOD(ROW(),2)=0
    u can even add borders like your existing pattern.
    to paste data into this & not lose the formatting, always Paste Special & choose values

    hope this helps
