    Forecast against Actual

    SO here is the dilemma.

    Question 1
Lets say my company forecasts the cost at of a certain project at 100 per month for the next 12 months.

Month one and two are on schedule. However midway during month 3 I notice that the forecast should be 150 to complete that month and not one hundred.
I make the adjustment in my forecast cell.

Is there anyway I can track to see what the original estimate was vs the new? This will be happening frequently, and it would be good to have a baseline... this is what the forecast was, this is where we are now.

    Question 2
I need to present the project cost for the next 12 months. I am 2/12 months complete.

What would be a good way to present the data as I have a mixture of both actual and forecasts in my project plan. DO i just hide the original forecasted data?

    Re: Forecast against Actual

Well, this is pretty broad, but I would just insert another column. One would be "forecast" and one would be "actual".
