Summarize data with count ifs/sumifs or similar

the easiest way to achieve this is with a pivot table. If you want to group by continent, rather than by country, then your data must show the continent, too. Excel does not know that Argentina is in South America.

Also, you need to watch your data quality. Permanemt/Permanent: Excel will see these as two different values.
