    formula help required

    Hello,

I am importing data in to excel (from another system) and then trying to extract data from it.

The data below (all cells are General).

What I am after (perhaps on another work sheet) is the log on time and log off time for all dates. For example row 1 I would not require, but rows 2-6 required just the times of all 08:53:29, 09:00:05, 08:50:44, 08:51:10 and 09:53:46, and then rows 8-11 the same data (times also required for log off)

    column A column B column C
    Log on Log off
    Name, name2 01/03/2012 08:53:29 30/03/2012 17:01:51
    Mar 01 01/03/2012 08:53:29 01/03/2012 17:01:58
    Mar 06 06/03/2012 09:00:05 06/03/2012 13:02:13
    Mar 12 12/03/2012 08:50:44 12/03/2012 17:02:31
    Mar 13 13/03/2012 08:51:10 13/03/2012 17:02:26
    Mar 14 14/03/2012 09:53:46 14/03/2012 18:01:31
    Name3, name4
    Mar 02 02/03/2012 09:09:07 02/03/2012 17:01:31
    Mar 06 06/03/2012 08:55:22 06/03/2012 17:04:54
    Mar 07 07/03/2012 09:07:11 07/03/2012 09:26:04
    Mar 09 09/03/2012 08:56:47 09/03/2012 17:02:15

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

If I have not explained myself please let me know and i'll try again.

    Thanks.

    Hi There,

I believe the moderators would request you to change your Original Post Title to be clear, concise, and descriptive of what your issue is (as this is a forum rule).

    Thanks,

Also - you'll have better odds of getting help if you attach a copy of the file you are working with/would like to format.

Click on your post, then click on the Edit post button (below the text in your post), and click on Go Advanced. In the second section on the following screen called Additional Options - click on Manage Attachments, and then attach your workbook/excel file.

Your problem doesn't seem complicated, but its always most helpful to have a file to work with.

    Cheers
