    0 instead of blank cell

I have set up a worksheet where I'm importing data with the "find column" function. Everything is working except one thing. When I'm importing data from a position with no information I want the cell to be blank. This is the case for 90 % of the missing cells but for some locations excel writes 0 instead. This is giving me great problems when I'm ploting the data later on.

I have seen that if you never have used the blank cell it will stay blank when imported, but If I write a number in it and erase it it will be a 0. I have tried the format painter but it doesnt help.

Re: 0 instead of blank cell

You can try adding the following to your formula:
For example, if your current formula in B2 is =100*A2
If you want B2 to be empty when A2 is empty, then:
    =If(A2="","",100*A2)

Is this what you are asking for? Please do correct me if it isn't...

    Hope it helps!

Ok I have solved the problem. Under Excel alternativ you can chose if empty cells should be translated to 0 or blank
