    Print Titles Issue

    Dear all,

I have a huge amount of data sorted and try to automate the creation of best-selling product overviews. For this I need repeating rows and columns. I handle this with Print Titles in Excel 2010.

For the column on the left it works nicely, for the row on top it very much doesn't. In A1 there is text stretching over the cell of A1. On all following pages the text is cut off at the end of cell A1. Also merging A1 and B1 does not work.

Anyone a clue how to work around this? Really drives me crazy to finish this project.

    Thanks!

to make it a bit clearer, i have attached two screenshot. what's marked in red obviously is the problem.

I usually don't like doing this, but since I have had absolutely no success in fixing this I will revive this topic once. Thanks in advance for any input. Rgds.

Hi, I only have an explanation, not a fix.

Say your sheet is wide and it prints on six pages with pages printing down, then over, like this:

    1 | 3 | 5
    2 | 4 | 6

Page 3 contains the first row, but in that part of the spreadsheet, row 1 is empty.

Since the first column contains only part of the text in A1 (it's literally like a screenshot of the column), that's all you get.

A workaround: place the text you want to repeat at the top into B1, not A1. Use row 1 as the row to repeat and column A as the column to repeat. In print layout, find where the page breaks are and copy B1 into the first cell after the page break. Then print.

    See attached.

Thank you very much for taking the time to make an example. In print preview it looks fine. However, adapting my own sheet like it and same, negative result. I reckon it's some issue due to some images in the to be repeated cells. I have used your template to fill it in, made some minor adaptions to my design and it works. Hence - thank's a lot for this!
