Changing tekst mm:ss to decimal time

I have a problem i cannot seem to solve,

In a column i have time noted as tekst in the format mm:ss and i cannot use it in formulas. I need to add all the time and for this i need to change it to numbers, change the : for a comma and make for instance 30 second to ,5 minutes.

Does anyone have an idea to doe this? I have 1 column and about 5000 rows.. so by hand is not an option!

Hi use text to columns command (select your data choose text to columns command next clik 2 times "next" and finish) it should help

Your time values are stored as text.

To convert them to numbers (which you can then reformat as time), select an empty cell, copy, select the column of numbers, paste special, add.
