Copy row contents depending on Cell A contents?

    Hi,

I have a spreadsheet at work that is helping us create a batch schedule. Essentially it contains a long list of job names, with information alongside them. There's about 900 rows in this spreadsheet, and as we build the schedule, we go in and put a 'Y' in to for example column B to indicate that the job is built.

Because there are so many rows and the majority of the jobs are built, it would be REALLY handy if there was something that would allow me to say -

If B1=N then copy row contents into sheet2.

In this sheet i'd have a collection of all the unbuilt jobs, so it would be easier to go through this list as opposed to skimming through the entire 900.

Whether this is a simple cell formula or a macro or whatever, I don't mind, but if someone could help that'd be great!

    Thank you in advance.

    Matt

Do you want this to happen on the click of a button? Or should the copy happen when the cell in column B is changed to N?

I would say at the click of a button, so everytime we use the report we can almost construct a 'report' style spreadsheet informing us of all the outstanding jobs to be built.

So everytime the button is clicked, the contents in the 'report' sheet should be cleared and fresh entries included, right?

I would say so yes, it's really to give a report to chase up on everytime you click that button.

Unless there was another way, so when you changed it from a Y to an N, the copied cell contents disappeared from the second sheet?

To avoid any double work from either your side or mine, can you please attach a sample sheet or just provide me the columns that need to be copied to sheet2? Also, which is the column that has the "Y" or "N"?

It will be good if your sample sheet mirrors the original sheet with respect to formats n structure.
