Hi, all -- first poster here, will make it short. Is there a way to copy and paste forumulas in Excel that are not locked? Here's what I'm trying to do (and this comes up a lot for me, so it seems like something Excel would be able to do). Say I'm working in one sheet but to keep things clean I'd like to do a slight variant in a different sheet. Is there a way to copy a range and paste so that I have in the new location the exact same formulas? E.g., copy a range of cells with the following (hypothetical) formulas "=C28", "=B45+E29", "='April Sales'!D97" so that the formulas are pasted in to the new location as "=C28", "=B45+E29", "='April Sales'!D97" (rather than, e.g., C48," "B65+E49", "='April Sales'!#REF". What I do now is copy the whole sheet and delete everything else, but you can only do that once (because otherwise not everything is in the same place). Other alternatives are to link back to the same location, or to go through and lock all the values before copying, but on 1) sometimes the whole reason I'd like to copy the formula is so I can delete it from the original location, and on 2) that requires changing the originals and I would like to not have to do this. Thanks
