    More Conditinoal Formating

    Hi,
I am struggling to get more than 3 conditional formats for cells.
Is there a way to reference things on Sheet 2 that will condition (change cell colour and font colour) the cells on Sheet 1? I have a list of names in row A on Sheet 2 that, when typed in to row C on Sheet 1 should change to match the format style they are in Sheet 2. So far I have only been able to create 3 conditional formats using the regular conditional formatting and my list of names is many more than 3.
    Thank you
    Stouffer

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You can not use more than 3 conditions in Conditional Formating in Excel 2003.

    Thank you.
Is there a way of reference the cells in Sheet 2 so only something written in Column A Sheet 2 can be put in to Column C on Sheet 1?
If this is possible can I also use that to automatically change the Sheet 1 cells to the same format?
    Thank you

Stouffer, there are some ways to use Conditional format from other sheets(Named Lists, helper columns), but best way to describe your problem, is to upload a small sample workbook for us.

    Channel List.xls

I have attached a small version of what I am trying to do. Sheet 1 has a list of dates, times and channels, Sheet 2 has a list of formatted channels. Is it posible to get Sheet 1 Column F (Channel) to format channels in the way they are seen on Sheet 2 Column A just by typing in the same channel info? Is it also possible to make Sheet 1 Column F to not allow any channels that have not been put into Sheet 2 (but allow any additional Channels to be added to Sheet 2) and come up with an error message?
    thank you,
    Stouffer
