Angry conditional formatting new rule formula

    hey everyone -

trying to figure this out and having so much problems.
creating a formula that says, ONLY HIGHLIGHT THE VALUES afterthe start date that are being budgeted for in other months. it's so frustrating.

    can you help master this?

Re: conditional formatting new rule formula

Can you give an example or 2 of which should be hightlighted and exactly why? i.e. which is the start date, etc...

Guessing... possibly select B3:O7 and apply rule:

    =AND(B3<>"",B$1>$A3)
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Sure, np.

The in-service date refers to the start date of the project.

The columns span over a fiscal year or so.
So if there is any numbers in the that corresponding month - they should be highlighted.

    The first example:

    In-service date says 12/31/2012.
Anything after "Dec" or 12/1/2012, should be highlighted. So jan, feb, mar, apr, may, jun (the values of 10) would be highlighted.

    Does that make sense?
