    Sorting Dynamic Data

So I have a worksheet that pulls some stock prices for 500 stocks in the first 4 columns. The way the DDE link is set up I cannot resort these cells. A calculation is made in the next column, E, and I would like to return the 30 highest values from the E column in the next column, with the stock symbol from column A beside the value. Using this list I can then quickly go through the top 30 and decide whether or not to make the stock trade.

    Re: Sorting Dynamic Data

    Hi vt2009,

Use another worksheet and sort them there!

Or you could use a UDT with just your fields, load an array of that type and bubble sort them then you could unload them (or just your 30) anywhere you had them.

The beauty of this method is that they would stay in core all day and you could access them at your will.
