Count only if 2 cells are True on a second sheet

Next conundrum...I need to count if two cells have the right criteria on the same row in one sheet & show the result in another, e.g.

COUNTIF(2012!N3:N64000"Manufacturing"&2012!J3:J64000"*Jan*") (the date will show as "24-Jan-12") and returns the result in another sheet, any ideas, thank you, Marco
