Question Drawing rectangles from x-y pairs in a table

I would like to draw a rectangle(s) from xy values on a chart-like x-y template with preset dimensions.
The chart options seem inadequate for this purpose. The closest is the use of a scatter plot but it's limited to drawing the perimeter and only one.
Wouldn't it be great to have a SmartArt or shape object that uses cell information? I guess that would be asking for too much so I would settle for any help on how to draw these rectangles.

    Any ideas?

Thank you very much for your help!

Have you tried recording a macro drawing a rectangle?

that's a good idea. I'll check how much info I can replace from actual cells. It shall work.
    Thank you
