    Lightbulb Pricelist to work order

    Hello.

We are developing a price list at my construction company and we would like it to automatically generate the materials list on another tab.

It would be easy to make one cell equal the other on the other page, but there are over 400 items on the price-list. How do i make the materials list only display items that have a quantity and not all the ones with zero quantity?

    Thanks!!

The easiest way is to use the "Filter" function.

However, i gave it a go, it works, but is there a way to do this automatically?

I have 3 tabs (price lists) with around 150 items each. An average materials list will only have 10-20 items actually used. I want all 3 tabs to populate a single page materials list/work-order without lots of clicking or sorting. Any thoughts?

I would need to know more about how your workbook is organised and how you want it to work. Perhaps you could attach a sample?

Ok, here it is. I have removed alot of the extra bits, and just left the items, descriptions, and quantities, and quickly and poorly formatted a workorder. Basically i want the data from the other 3 tabs to be stacked neatly on-top of each-other on the work-order, no matter how many or few from each section i have. Thanks again!

Something like this? I think that if you want it more automatic you need macros.

Ya, that will do the trick. Did you do something specific to make it pull from all 3 sheets?

I created the table first, and then I made it a "Named table" (Table1).
