    Super easy question

I want to eliminate typing in all the zeros that follow for a thousands number. For example, I want 53,000 to be the number in the cell, but only want to type in 53, then as I move to another cell, that number automatically goes to 53,000.

    Re: Super easy question

    good day mike,

    custom formatting - #,##0",000"
note: if you type 53 - it will display 53,000 but if you add a number to this say +5 the result will be 58,000 not 53,005

    better

Option - Edit option - look at Decimal Point - change the value for the setting to -3

can you amend your thread title please, maybe "cell formatting"
    thanks.
I think people forget the word "THANK YOU!!!!" Do you still know it???

    Re: Super easy question

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
