I want to have a formula in A1 that tells me how many cells in the first row are filled.
when I try =count(1:1), it doesn't work because of a circular reference. If there is someway to count the cells in row 1 except for A1 that would probably work but I have no idea how to do that.
Ideas?

With a total of 16384 rows, last row is CFD, so:
=count(B1:XFD1)
editet A1 to B1 of course...

including A1 cell Formula =countA(A1:IVA)
not including A1 cell Formula =countA(A2:IVA)
Paste this formula in A1 cell
