Help with formula that I can`t figure out

    Hi
Im using Excel X (an older version prior Excel 2003) and I need to change a price list with a formula (I think...)
To each price I need to add 120% + $91. To this number I need to add +3% x3%.....all in one formula.
Example of what I`m doing manually now. Starting price is $243.

    $243x120%= $291.6
    291.6+91= $382.6
    382.6+3%x3%= $11.82
    382.6+11.82= $394.42

$394.42 is the adjusted number I need.

What`s the correct formula to do this? Is it possible to apply the formula to the entire price list at once, and how you do it? Lastly instead of creating a new list of price next to the first I would like the original price list to change in to the new results from the formula calculation.
I have limited Excel knowledge so please be as clear and specific as possible.
Thank you so much for your help

    Robert

Re: Help with formula that I can`t figure out

    382.6+3%x3%= 382.6 since the calculation is interpret as 382.6 + (3%*3%) = 382.6 + 0.0009

Re: Help with formula that I can`t figure out

    Hi JieJenn
what i need is a formula starting from $243 all the way to the final result of 394.42. not just the +3%x3% portion.(see my example above) So I need a formula that to each price ads $91 to that results calculates +3%X3% and ads the results to the previous figure.
    Thanks for your help.

    =(243*1.2+91)+(((243*1.2+91)*0.03))

Re: Help with formula that I can`t figure out

    Hi
it`s working but I made a mistake in giving you the calculations.
It needs to do 243+120% =$534.6 rather then 243*120%=291
the rest of the formula seem to work.
Also $243 is the first of a long list of prices. Can I create one formula and apply to all prices at the same time or I need to do them one by one?
Thank you for your patience, I really appreciate your help.

It's hard to tell without looking at the file. Anyway, the modified formula is =(243+(243*1.2)+91)+(((243*1.2+91)*0.03))

Re: Help with formula that I can`t figure out

almost there......your formula is off few dollars from the correct number (the one I calculated manually)
starting from $243 the correct result is $644.93 but with your formula I get $637.07
I think because at the end of the formula I see *0.03 but I also need to add 3%(which is missing) before adding x3%
    So it goes:
    243=120%=534.60
    534.60+91=625.60
    625.60 +3% x3%=19.33
    625.60+19.33=$644.93

    Thank youuuuu
