Date count down.

Hello all, first post and kinda new to Excel.

I am using 2010 Excel, and I am trying to get timelines in between dates.

Here is what I would it work out like.
Enter my Start date, from that date it counts forward (not including weekends) until the next date is entered and stopped.

How can I create this, as I am trying to have a metrics on duration for each phase.

Start Date Phase 1	Days Between Start/Finnish Phase 1	Finish Date Phase 1	Days Between Finish Phase 1 and Start Phase 2	Start Date Phase 2	Days Between	Finsh Date Phase 2
3/6/2012	7	3/15/2012	9	3/28/2012	counts days and then stops after Finish Date Phase 2 is entered	?

Does return a date if I have Finsh Date Phase 2(G2) filled in. I was hoping Days Between (F2) would also poplutate a date and stop after Finsh Date Phase 2 (G2) had been filled in.

What I am after is to be able to tell how long, in days it is taking, so if it reaches, say 5 days, I need to push more to get it done, or I know it is taking longer to complete then normal.

Any one have any ideas how to do this... could really use some help.
