    Conflicting answers with formula

]I have a new problem with the formula here. It works asfar as counting the numbers but the issue i have is that the sheet uses other letters in other columns and is conflicting.
How do I get it to only pick up the "L" and not the others

    Original formula

    Re: Conflicting answers with formula

    Try:

    =SUM(IF(LEFT(B3:AE3)="L",--MID(B3:AE3,2,10)))

confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER not just ENTER
Where there is a will there are many ways.
