Trying to insert * in front of numbers

I have a sheet where I enter stop #'s every week. For tracking records this sheet need a correct total count. I reduplicate this sheet because the workbook contains a sheet for every week. Sometime the stops change around so I can not just make a master sheet. Every week when I reduplicate I use replace and type in the stop # and replace it with an * in front of the number to remove it from the count. The sheet counts stops based on the number, putting the symbol in front eliminates that stop # from the count until it is actually valid. I then retype the stop # each day. I get 2 sets per day. As you can see from the sheet below there are 41 stops with more being added soon. Is there an easier way to add the * in front of each number rather than using replace? I have already updated the 1st section in the sheet below and also started the replace system I have been using
