Copying multiple cells and maintaining original formulas

Please forgive my ignorance in advance, but is there a way to copy multiple cells that all contain formulas, and retain the original formula when I paste them somewhere else? I'm trying to finish a NCAA basketball bracket, with one sheet with the actual brackets and a second sheet with each person in the pool and their picks. I'm setting up formulas to calculate the winners, but whenever I copy the formulas from one column to another, the cell reference changes. I'm trying to copy the entire column rather than each individual cell (which will take a LONG time). Can this be done?

Try with absolute address. Use, for instance, $A$1:$A$100 instead of A1:A10

What you are seeing is the result of using RELATIVE cell references in your formulas.

If you want the exact same formulas to appear in other cells, then you must change the RELATIVE cell references to ABSOLUTE. So references like A2 get changed to $A$2.

After you change the references, then copy and paste.
