How To Turn A Complete Row A Different Color

    Hi Everyone,

I Am Having Trouble Turning A Complete Row From Default White To Different Colors Under Certain Conditions. As Per The Attached Worksheet, Which Will Be Of A Stock Portfolio, I Am Attempting To Turn The Row Red If Cell M9 Is A Negative Number. I Did A Conditional Format Using "Less Than 0" And Turned Only Cells With Negative Numbers Red. How Do I Turn All The Cells, Even The Ones With Dates, Text, Positive Numbers, Etc ? I Am Looking To Have Rows With Loosing Stocks Turn Red, Winning Stocks Turn Green, And Stocks Which Have Not Been Sold (Open Positions) Staying Default White. Thank You In Advance For Your Help, And Have A Great Day ! Steve

Select all the cells from (and including) row 9 down and use: $M9<0

Thank You TM.... I Am Sorry To Be A Complete Newbie... This Is The Very First Spreadsheet I Have Created... So Forgive Me For Such Elementary Questions. I Can Certainly Type In $M9<0 After Highlighting The Rows. I Am Not Sure Where To Type... Under Conditional Formatting; Create A New Rule; Etc??? I Tryed Under Conditional, And Tryed To Enter What You Typed As A Formula... No Workie !!!

I Got It.. Thanks To The Both Of You For Your Speedy Replys. Initially I Still Could Not Get Anything To Work, And I Was Too Embarrassed To Ask More Questions! I Kept "Hacking Away" At It, And Finally Got The Results I Wanted. I'm Going Back To Code In Turning The Positive Rows To Green ! Thank You Again !! Steve
