Holding Values

Hey guys, I need some help with this program. Sorry, I am no excel guru, but I have tried searching for a solution and could not find one.

Column F is everything in Column E concentrated. Then, excel uses the cell value in E1 and populates G(Value of E1). When I change the value of E1, it changes the row number that is populated in Column G. That all works fine and dandy. However, I need the values to stay.

Example: When I enter 5 for E1, cell G5 will say "make it work" If I change E1 to 7, G5 will go blank and G7 will say "make it work"

I need the value in G5 to stay what it was while the new cell gets populated with data.
