Multiple Contour plots in one chart

Hi,

I have three contour plots with the same variables just different data. What I need to do is put all three contour plots into one chart. Can this be done in excel?

I don't see why not. A chart can hold 200+ data series, with thousands of data points per series, so it certainly seems possible.

It's difficult to give a specific response to such a generic question. It often seems that the hardest part in preparing such a chart is actually building the table in Excel on which the chart will be based. I would usually build the table kind of like:

 Data set A
Data for contour 1
x     y
x     y


Data for contour 2
x     y
x     y

and so on

Repeat for each data set (I usually like to use a separate tab in the workbook for each data set). Then plot each contour as a data series.

I'm sure it's not the only way to do it.
