    Data validation

I am looking to create a worksheet with dependent data validation in several fields.

For example: If A1=Florida, B1=Tampa then C3 would be a data validation list "yes, no, NA" and D3 would be a data validation list "NA' only.
If A2=Florida, B1=Miami then C3 would be a data validation list "NA" only and D3 would be a data validation list "Yes, No, NA".

I hope makes sense. Essential want to create multiple dependent relationships with different impacts on severals fields. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Hi cbnbac,
This sounds like a cascading validation list. See if http://www.excel-user.com/2011/02/ca...ion-lists.html helps.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    Hi cbnbac,

I believe you need to first define the validation criteria and then we can use those logics to apply data validation.
As a option, you can check the attached file but again it would be better if you can define some criteria form where we can pickup the validations using indirect function. Thanks.

I understand the indirect validation, however I'm unaware of a way to make the validation lousy dependent upon two response with differing validation criteria across multiple columns. Can anyone assist?

    Ok..

It's good that you know the indirect validation. Did you also checked the usage of IF function into the validation into the attached file of post #3?
