I have the formula "=$A$1" in one cell to protect it. But then I cut/move the value in A1 the formula changes to the new place. No different from "=A$1","=$A1" or "=A1".
What is wrong?

Try,
=INDIRECT("A1")
Another non-volatile idea: =INDEX($A:$A, 1)
