    Sage 50 Payroll Upload Problem

    Hi,

I am in the process of developing an excel upload into Sage 50 Payroll, but have hit a snag.

If someone works less than their contracted hours, the upload generates a negative value.

I need excel to return a zero value instead of a negative one, without altering the original formula from working when someone goes over their hours.

I have attached a sample for your reference, and highlighted problem cells in blue. I hope someone can help.

    Many Thanks,

    Sue

    In your formula
    =MAX(M4-N4,0)
    Denis

Please always attach the sample workbook without sensitive information when asking for help

    To add a module
Press Alt + F11 (this is the Visual Basic Environment)
    Insert Menu, select Module
    Past code there
    Close Visual Basic Environment (X)

    Hi Denis,

That formula does not work properly.

It first must recignise the first four hours of overtime at 1/3 of time, then 1/2 of time before kikking in.

So there should be more than 33 hours worked before formula works.

I think you are wasting your time. I tried a similar exercise to up;oad payroll from a csv to Sage Payroll. SagePayroll advisor told me that although they say you can, it rarely works .
    Hope that helps.
