    Turn the Ribbon back on

    Hi,

I have a spreadsheet and could not see the tabs at the bottom of the screen. I tried to show the tabs by going into View and clicking View Full Screen (or something like that). Now the ribbon has vanished and I can't turn it back on. I have an Excel book that suggests clicking tabs or clicking the button next to the help button but I have no tabs (I can see the bottom tabs now, but no tabs to do with the ribbon) or buttons showing at all.
I also tried Ctl+F1 as suggested in the book but it does nothing.
I have a report that I need to get out urgently so any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks very much

    Dave

Re: How can I turn the Ribbon back on- urgent help please!

    did you try
    -File
    ---option
    -----Customize ribbon
    -------tool tabs
    check boxes should be checked..
I think people forget the word "THANK YOU!!!!" Do you still know it???

There is a little star ( ADD REPUTATION ) below those person who helped you. Click it to say your "PRIVATE APPRECIATION TO THEIR EFFORT ON THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS "

Re: How can I turn the Ribbon back on- urgent help please!

    Hi,

    Thanks for the tip.
I had no "file" or any other buttons. I eventually found that right clicking in a cell and selecting "Close full screen" did the trick.

If I knew how to mark this as "solved" I would, but I dont see a "Solved" button or any other way of doing it....

    Thanks

    Dave

Re: Turn the Ribbon back on

On the top Excel toolbar next to the Help Icon (?) there is a small button that controls full screen. Marking solved is explained in the Forum Rules which you should have read.

How to mark a thread Solved
    Go to the first post
    Click edit
    Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
    Change to Solved
    Click Save
    Hope that helps.
