    Re: linking cells

    Hi,

It's not clear what you mean. You can't merge cells where there are 3 values without losing two of the values. Please upload your workbook and show what results you expect to see after copying or dragging down.

    Re: linking cells

    Hi,

It's still not clear what you're after. Your original post mentioned sheets (plural) implying a single workbook. You've uploaded two workbooks and I don't see how the Master-A workbook is relevant to your question.

With the other workbook you originally mentioned merged cells. There are no merged cells. If you want to replicate C2 on Sheet across and down to J11 just copy Ct and paste it to C2:J11

    Regards

    Let me try explain better...

    The file 1.linking cell

If I update the master sheet (B4)'RED' to 'Orange', the (C2)in Link1 will show 'Orange' instead of RED

    Sheet: Master Sheet:Link1

    (B4) RED LINKED WITH (C2)
    (B5) GREEN LINKED WITH (C3)
    (B6) YELLOW LINKED WITH (C5)
    (B7) BLUE LINKED WITH (C6)
    (B8) PINK LINKED WITH (C7)
    (B9) WHITE LINKED WITH (C8)

    Re: linking cells

    Hi,

It's a linked cell. If you change B4 to Orange how do you expect it to show Red? Red no longer exists.

Are you saying that if you make a change on the Master you want any dependent cell to be converted to its value and remove the link. In which case you can't use an Excel function and will need to use a VBA Sheet_Change event driven macro.

    Regards

    Re: linking cells

My question was not that...I want it show Orange...not RED.

Qs is:- I have 2 link 100 rows cells like that to master sheet....
Is there any option...(like copying..or dragging)
Otherwise I have to Link Each 100 cells to Mater sheet manually...
