    Different x-ranges for different series

Hello, I'm using Excel 2011 for Mac. I'm trying to create a chart that has three series, each of them with a different set of x-values and y-values. However, every time I set the x-value range for one series, Excel automatically changes the other ones to the same thing! Is there any way that I can get Excel to maintain separate x-values ranges?

I attached a file to show what I'm talking about. Ideally I would like my three series to be as follows:

    •*Series 1
    - x-values from B3 to B74
    - y-values from C3 to C74

    •*Series 2
    - x-values from F3 to F61
    - y-values from G3 to G61

    • Series 3
    - x-values from J3 to J56
    - y-values from K3 to K56

However, right now the x-values for all three series is B3 to B74, and when I change the range for one series it modifies all the other series, as I have already said.

    Hi,

I think you need to use an XY scatter chart rather than a line chart.

    Good luck.
