again i am having the same problem, this is happening because still i didnt understand the concept, could someone help me please.
In the attached file i wanted to sumup the value for the particular project number between the given set of dates in report sheet, the datas are available in the plan sheet.

First of all your ranges need to be same size:
=SUMPRODUCT((Plan!$E$7:$E$50=$Q13)*(Plan!$AK$3:$FD$3>=Y$11)*(Plan!$AK$3:$FD$3<=Z$11)*(Plan!$AK$6:$FD$6=U$6)*Plan!$AK$8:$FD$50)
Never use Merged Cells in Excel
The last range should be Plan!$AK$7:$FD$50 rather than Plan!$AK$8:$FD$50 in order to match the first range.

Even though i change that as Plan!$AK$7:$FD$50 it is not working.
Can you please explain me little more sice the formula you have posted is same what i have given in the sample.

It works for me - returning 8 in the cell where you have entered it.
yes this formula is not giving any data when i included in the excel file.
I do not appear to be able to upload the revised file currently, but it works for me with that one simple change.
