Formatting cells for stopwatch time values

    Hello.

I am entering a series of time values (MM:SS) transcribed from a stopwatch. I would like to change the cell format settings so that the cell does not assume it's a time-of-day-like meaning (HH:MM:SS AM/PM).

I've checked "Format Cell: Number: Category: Time" and ":Custom" but I haven't found precisely what I'm looking for.

I hope I'm just missing something....

    Thanks for your time.

Have you tried Category: Time" and ":Custom" and [h]:mm:ss?

Not sure about [h] since I'm in Sweden, could be [t]

This set me on the right track; eventually I ended up inputting a custom time setting, [mm]:ss

It still requires that times be entered as h:mm:ss so I had to eat that, but it wasn't too bad.
