Date Format in Pivot table Row field (Excel 2003)

Hello

I'm having trouble trying to format dates in the Row fields in a Pivot Table. The source data is set to mmm-yy but the pivot table converts this to dd-mmm-yy. Need to retain the mmm-yy format.

How do you converting the date format in pivot table... are you selecting the date range in pivot or are you changing it through field settings / properties.

Also just as a check what is the default date setting of your system?

I'd need a sample workbook to see what your data looks like to try to help on this question. Click on "Go Advanced" below the message area and then on the Paper Clip Icon above the advanced message area to attache a sample file.

Dilipandey, I tried both. As this is a row field rather than a data field I can't adjust the format through field settings.

Marvin, I will try to upload a file, just a load of confidential data I have to strip out unfortunately
