This is my situation: I have a sheet (Office 2010) that link to let's say few hundred cells in the XML file source (our program just only export to that kind of file). So every day I export and overwrote that source file but dont have to open it.

Now I open the Destination file it asked me to Update or not. If the source file is normal xlsx file then after click on Update the workbook WILL AUTO UPDATE, BUTthat XML file lead me to another message:

This workbook contain one or more links that cannot be updated.

Then whatever next step is I have to open the XML in order to update it.

Is there anyway to update without open this kind of source file like other normal xlsx file?
