Excel gets extremely slow adding formulas

I've got lots of sheets with complex formulas, many tabs large, many columns and rows long.
But this one has me stumped. I've dropped the data into 6 tabs (Jul - Dec) and I built and tested the formula (July tab, starts at H2). I'm happy with it. And only about 100+ rows per tab. But when I go to copy the formulas down the columns, the whole thing turns into molasses in Alaska in winter. I have much more complex formulas behaving nicely in other sheets -

    I would appreciate any insights
    thanks

names in files, and uncalculated production values, nothing 'personal'

You have 33,625 shapes in sheet "July 2011" and 286 on each of the others, what they are for, other than two, I have no idea.

Select the sheet, then in the VBa editor Immediate Window Type this

    Press Return
If the number returned is more than 2 then type this in a new row in the Immediate Window

    Press Return

    Return to Excel
Hold down ctrl and click on your two Command Buttons to remove them from the selection release ctrl
Right click on any highlighted shape then select Cut from the shapes menu.
Do this for each sheet in turn.

I don't think you are returning the correct date in the "full date" column
Try this in M2 (Format the column number Format > Date ... your choice

I have cleaned the attached workbook, but suggest you do the above with your copy.

    Thank you SO much!
I have no idea how I got all those shapes in there - something corrupted along the way, I guess. And when I copied and pasted the headers from the last iteration (this was a "try over again!" file), it must have copied all those shapes with it.
